Committees

Board of Director Committees

The Board may designate one or more committees and each committee must include Directors of the Board.
The Chairperson shall appoint members to each of these committees.

Executive – Provides direction to the Par Plan Program Administrator on Board policy. Exercises Board powers necessary for prudent management of the Par Plan. The Chairperson is responsible for directing the Program Administrator if required on specific Par Plan management matters.

Dividend – Reports the actual dividend distribution figures to the Board, as of June 30, the Par Plan year-end.

Public Relations – Manages public relations for the Par Plan.

Election – Administers the annual Zone Elections, including confirmations of printing and mailing nomination forms, ballot confirmations, election confirmation and notification to nominees.

By-Laws – Makes any revisions and updates to the by-laws and the election process on behalf of the committees.

Reviews grant applications during the twice-a-year request cycle, ensuring requests meet qualifying criteria. Reviews and updates Grant Guidelines to be presented to the Board of Directors for adoption.

Writes occasional copy and suggests ideas for layout of The Par Plan News, the Par Plan’s quarterly newsletter. Approves the final draft, which is published prior to Board Meetings, providing sufficient time for meeting notification.

Collaborates with the Par Plan’s Program Administrator in determining best actions for marketing the Plan during the Michigan Townships Association Annual Conference, while adhering to the budgets set forth by the Board.

Reviews and approves the information regarding projected budgets for the Board of Directors Committees’ financial requirements for the program and the overall Par Plan budget. The budget is presented at the Annual Meeting and approved by the Board of Directors. This budget is also reviewed during the quarterly Board of Directors meetings.

This is an Advisory Committee of Fire Chiefs and EMS Directors who are current members of the Par Plan. The committee meets at least twice a year to review, develop and update specific policies and procedures while addressing current issues from the field.
